Crows have journeyed with us throughout human history.  Whether seen as familiars guiding us, messengers of doom, or scaring us as they swoop in protection of their young, crows are integrated into our folklore and daily lives.

Ranging in techniques from traditional quilting and applique to photo transfer and mixed media, these pieces pushed my practice forward allowing new surface design techniques to emerge in my work.

This work explores the relationship people have with crows, contrasts our bodies, links our spirits and moves us to investigate our uncomfortable fascination with a very common bird.
